Laser-assisted irrigation (LAI) is an advanced endodontic technique that uses a dental laser to enhance the cleaning and disinfection of the root canal system. While traditional root canal therapy relies on a combination of mechanical instrumentation and a disinfecting solution (irrigant), LAI adds the power of laser energy to create a more thorough and effective cleaning. The laser's energy generates micro-bubbles and pressure waves within the irrigant, which helps the solution penetrate into areas that traditional methods cannot reach.

The Procedure
